Prior to joining Prestaring Berhad, Encik Arif was the the Country Leader for Global Business Services (GBS) for IBM Malaysia where he was responsible for driving IBM’s consulting strategy and objectives across Malaysia, a key player in IBM's Asia Pacific business unit.
Encik Arif leads a team of over 350 consultants and helped to execute a deep transformation of GBS Malaysia to increase profitability and market share. He is fully responsible to manage the full P&L and Balance Sheet of GBS Malaysia and achieve the given financial objectives. On day-to-day basis, Encik Arif manages the entire business operating model of GBS Malaysia including financial management, business development and sales pipeline management, client relationship management, resource deployment, risk management & business controls and talent management, through well established work processes and management systems. Since joining IBM, he also helped implement a new organisation and operating model, value offerings and delivery excellence program, and instituted a talent revitalisation plan for GBS Malaysia.
Prior to joining IBM, Encik Arif was a Partner for KPMG Malaysia’s Business Advisory Services.
His entire work experience includes over 24 years in multiple markets and industries segments such as banking, finance, telco, government and manufacturing. His areas of specialisations are technology and management consulting services, financial management, business process improvement and performance management. His main objective is to provide solutions to the clients and unlock the full potential of their businesses by aligning ICT with business needs, leveraging innovation, reducing risk and maximising business value across the organisation.
