We refer to the Company’s announcements dated 8 April 2024, 18 April 2024 and 19 April 2024.

The Company had on 19 April 2024 submitted an application to Bursa Malaysua Securities Berhad ("Bursa Securities") to appeal against the decision of Bursa Securities to suspend the securities of the Company on the grounds that the Company has demonstrated that its current business operations is viable, sustainable and has growth prospects (“Appeal against Suspension”).

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Awantec, Maybank Investment Bank Berhad wishes to announce that the Company had today received a letter from Bursa Securities informing that the Appeal against Suspension will be escalated to the relevant regulatory committee of Bursa Securities for deliberation and decision, and the Company will be informed of the outcome in due course. Notwithstanding the Appeal against Suspension, the trading in the securities of Awantec will be suspended with effect from 26 April 2024.
